Commemorating International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression

A special ceremony honoring children affected by war and terrorism, titled "They Were Angels," will be held in Tehran on the occasion of the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression.

Organized by the Habilian Association (Iranian Families of Terrorism Victims), the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults, and the Aznik NGO, the event will commemorate more than 2,000 Iranian children who lost their lives to terrorism, as well as the victims of Shajareh Tayyebeh School in Minab.

The ceremony will open with a brief address by a member of Iran's Parliament on the situation of child victims of aggression and armed conflict. Several prominent Iranian artists will also deliver messages of solidarity with children affected by terrorism and violence.

A central segment of the program will feature personal testimonies from the families of terrorism victims and families from Minab, who will share the stories and memories of innocent children affected by war and terrorism.

The event will also include a theatrical performance focusing on children who are victims of violence, while a young Iranian singer will perform a song dedicated to innocent child victims. In addition, the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults will organize a live street-painting activity involving children and teenagers.

The ceremony will take place on Wednesday, June 3, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Tehran at Pasdaran Street, Neyestan 3rd Street, Rastavan Street, Nezami Alley, opposite the UNICEF office. The event will conclude with the reading of a final statement.
