Pezeshkian refers to Asia's oldest living tree to glorify Iran’s ancient history

President Masoud Pezeshkian, in a message, has once again glorified Iranian history and civilization, citing Asia's oldest living tree in Iran.

"Asia's oldest living organism, the ancient Abarkuh cypress tree - at least 4500 years old - is rooted in land that was already known as Iran at the time," Pezeshkian wrote on his X account on Saturday.

In his message posted along with the cypress tree, the president reminded the people and countries around the globe that are ignorant to Persian civilizations dating back thousands of years.

The Cypress of Abarkuh, also called the Zoroastrian Sarv, is a Persian cypress tree in Abarkuh, in Iran's Yazd Province.
