According to remarks made by Mehdi Taj in a televised interview, the Football Federation’s conditions are summarized as follows:
• After visas are issued, the players and technical staff must not be questioned or investigated by immigration authorities.
• The visa status of dispatched reporters and Iranian fans must be clarified.
• The highest level of security and protective measures must be ensured by the police at airports, hotels, routes, and stadiums to prevent possible incidents or side issues (similar to what happened in Australia).
• Fans of both teams must only bring the flags of their own countries into the stadium, and displaying any flag other than that of the Islamic Republic of Iran must be prohibited.
• The national anthem of the Islamic Republic of Iran must be played correctly and without interruption at all matches.
• Reporters’ questions during press conferences must be limited to technical and match-related topics.
Iran’s national football team, known as Team Melli, is in Group G and will face Belgium national football team, Egypt national football team, and New Zealand national football team in Los Angeles and Seattle.
