Israeli minister for military affairs, Israel Katz, claimed that Tel Aviv is awaiting a US “green light” to launch new aggression on Iran and assassinate Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei.
In a message posted on X on Friday night, Ghalibaf said: “Their anger and the nonsense of that criminal minister stem from our unity around the leadership and the failure of their plots.”
Referring to a passage from martyred general Qassem Soleimani’s will, he wrote: “Dear Khamenei is dear to our life. The heartfelt covenant among the young fighters has been and remains that they fight trench by trench so that the word and will of the [Leader] advance.”
He added: “Be angry, and die from this anger.”
The remarks come amid a ceasefire that took effect on April 8, followed by negotiations between Tehran and Washington, which collapsed due to excessive demands put forward by the US.
The United States and Israel launched a war of aggression against Iran on February 28, assassinating Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the father of Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei. Several top military commanders were also assassinated that day.
