Sheikh Naim Qassem, Secretary General of Hezbollah resistance movement in Lebanon, stated in a televised speech delivered on Monday night that, “We have been facing the brutal Israeli-American aggression since the beginning of the “First Battle”. We endured for 15 months, but the enemy “Israel” did not implement even a single clause of the November 27, 2024 agreement, yet we waited patiently.”
The Secretary General of Hezbollah in Lebanon continued to criticize the Lebanese government inaction in the face of aggression by the Israeli enemy saying that, “Diplomacy has not advanced a single step, and the pace of Israeli aggression has continued unabated with the full support of the United States. The goals of the Israeli occupation are clear: to destroy any power that Lebanon has. It is unjustifiable for the Lebanese government, which has the power, to become a means to implement Israel’s demands and weaken the internal situation in the face of this aggression.”
He added, “Patriotism means being united, not divided. We decided to confront and resist in defense of Lebanon and its people, and we are conducting the 'Operation Protective' for that purpose."
"Let's confront the aggression together, and then we can discuss everything else. We reject negotiations with the usurper regime; these are pointless negotiations. Negotiations are about futile concessions," Qassem said.
"The current Israeli aggression is a battle to swallow Lebanon," Hezbollah leader warned, adding that "These negotiations are a surrender for Lebanon and will drain it of its power."
