In a post on his X account on Sunday, Aref hailed the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, for talking about the “melting of ice between the strata of society.”
He added, “The government of defense and reconstruction [Pezeshkian administration], with the end of the public mourning, considers this unity as an asset for progress and the fulfillment of the nation’s rights.”
The first vice president noted, “From authority in the Strait of Hormuz to the pursuit of reparations, we stand firm on the people’s rights; this is our firm commitment to a strong Iran.”
Top officials of Iran and the United States arrived in Islamabad on Saturday to discuss a permanent end to the US-Israeli war of aggression against the Islamic Republic, days after Tehran and Washington reached a two-week ceasefire. The talks ended without a deal.
