Vahid Rabiei said windows and doors at the federation building were shattered, with additional damage including cracks in the walls. Repairs have yet to begin due to restricted access to Azadi Stadium.
Rabiei also outlined the current status of national teams, noting that senior training camps have resumed on a limited basis, with a focus on athletes expected to compete for medals at the Asian Games Nagoya and upcoming world competitions.
He said the World Youth Championships remain the most immediate event on the calendar, though scheduling uncertainties linked to regional developments may affect Iran’s participation.
If the competition is postponed, Iran is expected to attend; otherwise, preparations may shift toward Asian youth and junior events later in the year.
The federation continues to monitor conditions as it balances recovery efforts with maintaining its international competition program.
