Foreign Ministry: Israel’s assassination of Iranian diplomats in Lebanon ‘a clear example of organized terrorism’

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says the terrorist act by the Israeli regime to assassinate Iranian diplomats in Lebanon is “a clear example of organized terrorism and an open attack on the fundamental principles of international law.”

The remarks were made in a statement issued on Friday regarding the Israeli regime’s assassination of Iranian diplomats in Beirut on March 8.

In the statement, the Ministry emphasized that it will use all legal and international capacities to pursue this crime and hold the brutal Israeli regime accountable.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemns the heinous crime of the homicidal Zionist regime in attacking the residence of several Iranian diplomats in Lebanon,” the statement said.

“This terrorist crime, which was planned and carried out in continuation of the regime’s aggressive actions and crimes against the Iranian nation, demonstrates the wicked nature of the occupying regime and its inherent conflict with fundamental legal and humanitarian norms, including the principle of diplomatic immunity and the need to respect the national sovereignty of the host country.”

The Israeli regime’s terrorist act of assassinating Iranian diplomats is a clear example of organized terrorism and a clear attack on the fundamental principles of international law, it added.

In the early hours of March 8, the Israeli regime carried out a deliberate terrorist attack against the Ramada Hotel in Beirut, as a result of which six Iranian diplomats were martyred.
