President Pezeshkian in Int’l Quds Day Rally in Tehran

President Masoud Pezeshkian has joined thousands of demonstrators in Tehran during the annual International Quds Day Rally, walking alongside citizens and speaking with participants attending the march.

The president took part in the pro-Palestine demonstration on Friday as large crowds gathered in the capital to mark the annual event held in support of oppressed Palestinian people.

During the rally, Pezeshkian moved among participants from different segments of society who had gathered were chanting slogans while fasting. He briefly spoke with several attendees and praised the public’s participation.

Members of the Iranian cabinet and other government officials also joined the march, standing alongside the president and the public.

Officials emphasized continued support for resistance front and stressed the role of diplomatic and defensive capacities in addressing regional tensions.

The rally took place amid heightened tensions following recent military confrontations involving the criminal US and Israeli regimes. Despite the circumstances, large crowds attended the demonstration, turning the event into a display of national unity and support for the Palestinian cause.

Analysts note that the joint US-Israeli invasion, which began on February 28, 2026, following the martyrdom of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, disregarded ongoing indirect negotiations. In response, Iran launched precise retaliatory strikes against Israeli positions and US bases, citing its inherent right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter and warning that further escalation would invite a harsher reaction.
