First Vice President calls for obedience to leadership
In a message addressed to the new Leader, First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref emphasized the necessity of national unity and adherence to the leadership of Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei in order to safeguard Iran’s national interests, dignity, and the ideals of the Islamic Revolution. Declaring his allegiance, Aref said that as a servant of the Iranian people, he would fully support the new Leader and stressed the importance of cohesion among officials and the public to navigate current challenges facing the country.
Aref also expressed condolences over the martyrdom of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, describing his passing as a painful loss for Iran, the Muslim world, and supporters of justice worldwide. He praised the late Leader’s wisdom, steadfastness, and visionary leadership, saying his legacy would remain a lasting asset in the history of the Islamic Revolution.
Imam Khomeini’s grandson congratulates new Leader
Hassan Khomeini, the grandson of the founder of the Islamic Republic, congratulated Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei on his appointment as Leader of the Islamic Republic. In his message, he also extended condolences over the martyrdom of the martyred Leader and emphasized the importance of safeguarding Iran and the Islamic system in the face of external threats. He expressed confidence that the path of pure Islam, established by Imam Khomeini and continued under the leadership of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, would advance under the guidance of the new Leader with the cooperation of state officials and the support of the Iranian people.
AEOI chief pledges support
Mohammad Eslami, Vice President and head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), also congratulated the new Leader and announced the organization’s allegiance to Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei. Eslami said the decision by the Assembly of Experts reflects confidence in the new Leader’s deep understanding of the strategic mechanisms of the Islamic Republic and his long-standing experience in policymaking. He added that the country’s nuclear industry would continue its determined pursuit of scientific advancement and strategic technologies in line with the country’s national interests and revolutionary values.
Institutions express allegiance
Several religious and cultural bodies also issued statements supporting the new Leader. The Islamic Seminary Management Center (ISMC) said the Assembly of Experts had successfully fulfilled its historic responsibility by selecting a successor to the late Leader and pledged full cooperation in advancing the goals of the Islamic Revolution. Similarly, the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution described the appointment as the beginning of a new phase in the realization of the Islamic Revolution’s long‑term goals and the development of a modern Islamic civilization. The council called on scholars, intellectuals, and cultural elites to strengthen national unity and work together in implementing the Second Phase of the Revolution.
Defense Council, other officials reaffirm loyalty
In a separate statement, Iran’s Defense Council congratulated the new Leader and declared its unwavering commitment to follow the Commander‑in‑Chief, stating that it would defend the values of the Islamic Revolution to the last drop of blood. Other officials, including head of the Mostazafan Foundation Hossein Dehghan and Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Abbas Saleh Amiri, also praised the decision of the Assembly of Experts, describing the appointment as a guarantee for the continuation of the revolutionary path established by the late Imam Khomeini and the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
