Grossi: There Is No Evidence of Nuclear Weapons Production in Iran

NOURNEWS – The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency () stated that, despite claims by the Zionist regime and the United States, inspectors have found no evidence of a coordinated Iranian program to build nuclear weapons.

Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, said on Monday afternoon in an interview with NBC News: “The Agency has not identified elements of a systematic and structured program for the production of nuclear weapons in Iran.”

Referring to Iran’s 60% uranium enrichment, Grossi claimed: “This is a level far beyond civilian energy requirements, and such enrichment is something that only nuclear-armed countries possess.”

The chief’s remarks come as the Islamic Republic of Iran has repeatedly clarified its position on the matter, emphasizing that Iran is pursuing a peaceful nuclear program.

Grossi further added: “Inspectors cannot conclude that Iran intends to build a bomb, but this stockpiling raises serious questions.”

He also claimed: “This enrichment has been a source of our concerns, and there is no specific purpose for accumulating material at that level.”

Grossi said: “The centrifuges were constantly spinning and producing more of that material. Theoretically, this amount would be sufficient to produce more than ten nuclear warheads. But do they have such a warhead? No.”
