Witkoff claims Iran rejected US proposal

Steve Witkoff, the US president’s envoy, said Monday in an interview with Fox News: “We spoke with them about 10 years of no enrichment and paying for fuel. But this proposal was firmly rejected.”

While Iran was once again targeted—amid ongoing talks with the United States over its peaceful nuclear program—by aggressive attacks from Washington and the Zionist regime, the US representative claimed that during the second round of negotiations with Tehran, Washington realized that reaching an agreement with Iran would not be possible.

He alleged: “We went there and tried to reach a fair deal with them. And it was very, very clear that this would be impossible, probably by the end of the second meeting. But then we returned for a third meeting to make our final effort.”

These claims come despite the fact that the American side and the mediating country, Oman, had previously expressed optimism about progress in the talks.

In this regard, prominent American host Tucker Carlson acknowledged that Washington’s decision to once again enter into war with Iran had been made by Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of the Zionist regime.
