Araghchi issued the warning in separate phone calls with his counterparts from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Iraq, following the unprovoked US-Israeli attacks on the country on Saturday.
It is the responsibility of all Muslim nations and regional governments to act upon their historical duty to counter the sinister plot of the Israeli regime, he emphasized.
Providing updates on the ongoing developments, Araghchi characterized the aggression against Iran as a gross violation of the fundamental principles of the United Nations Charter, and against international peace and security.
The Foreign Minister clarified that the Islamic Republic will utilize all of its defensive capabilities, based on its inherent right of self-defense, to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Pointing to Iran’s commitment to continuing its policy of good-neighborliness, Araghchi reminded all regional countries to prevent the US and Israel from exploiting their territories to carry out aggression against Iran.
The Iranian Armed Forces consider as legitimate targets the sources and origin of aggression by the enemies, as well as any actions to counter Iran’s defensive operations, in accordance with international law, he explained.
