In a press statement, the embassy rejected what it described as false and fabricated claims circulated by some French print and broadcast media, including Le Figaro. The reports alleged that some former Iranian officials have taken measures against the system.
According to the statement, these claims are pure fiction, likely based on false information or speculation provided to the author, and are categorically denied.
The embassy said the reports are a clear example of an organized campaign to produce and disseminate disinformation aimed at damaging Iran’s image, stressing that they lack any credibility or factual basis.
The statement added that limited judicial actions taken against a small number of political figures were solely related to public statements made during the recent unrest.
It emphasized that those individuals were released after investigations were completed.
The embassy also criticized the linking of unrelated issues, calling it further evidence of the groundless nature of the allegations, and urged journalists and media outlets to exercise greater professional care in verifying sources and reporting on Iran.
