Speaking on the sidelines of a meeting between a group of Air Force commanders, officers, and personnel and the chief of staff of the armed forces on Sunday, Major General Amir Hatami said vigilance and readiness remain a top priority. The meeting was held to mark the Army Air Force Day.
“We are closely monitoring the enemy and are ready to respond decisively to any mischief,” Hatami said.
Hatami noted that the Army Air Force has continued on a path of growth and progress, adding that during the 12-day imposed war, it carried out all its missions with courage and honor.
He said the steadfast resistance of the armed forces ultimately forced the enemy to submit and request a ceasefire.
Addressing Iran’s adversaries, the Army chief warned against any new miscalculation.
“We hope the enemy does not make another mistake, but if it does, the Army Air Force will certainly play a major role in responding,” he said.
Commenting on the presence of US warships in the region, Hatami said such deployments are nothing new and have been repeated many times since the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
He stressed that Iran’s duty is to maintain full readiness, monitor all enemy movements, and remain prepared for a firm response.
