Group of Friends in Defense of the UN Charter condemns foreign intervention in Iran

The Group of Friends in Defense of the UN Charter in a statement termed threatening to use force, intervene in internal affairs of Iran and incite violence and terrorist acts as obvious violation of principles and objectives of the UN Charter and emphasized immediate halt to such illegal measures.

According to the statement, the Group of Friends in Defense of the UN Charter condemned all forms of terrorism and conducted attacks by foreign-backed terrorists and voiced deep concern over the killing and injury of civilians, including children and law enforcement forces, as well as destruction of public and private properties.

The group also renewed its full solidarity with the people and government of Iran, and urged the international community, the United Nations and its secretary-general, to clearly and frankly condemn the irresponsible and measures against the UN Charter.

The Group of Friends in Defense of the UN Charter comprises of c17 countries, including Iran, Russia, China, Algeria, Cuba, Venezuela, Palestine, Nicaragua, Uganda, Belarus, Bolivia, Zimbabwe and some other countries.
