The top Iranian diplomat made the remarks while speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the cabinet session on Wednesday afternoon.
"The current situation is not conducive to negotiations with the United States due to its policies," Araghchi said.
The Iranian foreign minister stressed that Tehran has never left the negotiating table. "We are always ready for negotiations based on respect and mutual interests, but the US government does not have such an approach at the moment."
Araghchi also said that he is scheduled to depart for Lebanon on Wednesday, noting that an economic delegation will accompany him during the visit.
Araghchi emphasized that Iran is pursuing the expansion of relations with Lebanon, adding that economic cooperation will be a key component of the trip.
