Speaking in a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Iran Dmitry Koltsov, Mohammad Sadegh Motamedian said Tehran province enjoys diverse natural attractions and is connected from the north to the Alborz heights and from the south to desert areas, including Varamin.
In the east and south of the province, there are numerous national parks and protected areas that have created a rare diversity of flora and fauna, he added.
The four-season nature of Tehran, alongside this climatic diversity, constitutes a very important capacity for the development of domestic and international tourism, Motamedian stated.
Tehran Chamber of Commerce is one of the most active chambers in the country, and the province’s trade union and cooperative sectors also play effective roles in commercial fields, he noted.
These capacities can pave the way for developing bilateral economic cooperation, Motamedian said.
Part of Iran’s need for protein products, including red meat, white meat, and dairy, can be supplied through Belarus, he stated.
In return, Tehran Province, as the largest producer of greenhouse products in the country, has the capability to export these products to Belarus, he noted.
Tehran, with its international airports, railway network, and dry port, is one of the most important logistical centers in the country, the governor said.
Tehran is ready to become the gateway for Belarusian goods to enter the Middle East, he added
He also offered Tehran’s readiness to facilitate private sector cooperation, hold exhibitions of Belarusian products in Tehran, develop railway transportation cooperation, and explore the possibility of establishing direct flights between the two countries.
