Addressing a gathering of Friday congregational prayers on Wednesday, Pezeshkian pointed to five anti-Iran plans of the United States, some Western countries, and the Israeli regime, which he said require unity, interaction with neighbors, and reliance on people’s power to confront.
He explained the enemies' plans, saying the first and foremost is to pile up “pressure on Iran” by restricting its access to financial resources and economic exchanges.
According to him, “weakening the economy and creating social discontent” are the second and third strategies aimed at bringing people to the streets and creating instability.
Pointing out that the “assassination drive” and “Iranophobia” are the fourth and fifth axes designed by the enemies to weaken Iran, Pezeshkian said they have an illusion that the Islamic Republic relies on individuals, and if they are harmed, the country will fall into chaos.
The President added that neighboring countries are being mobilized through ‘Iranophobia’ as the enemies are afraid of the Islamic Republic’s definitive policy to expand cordial relations with neighbors.
Pezeshkian devoted a significant portion of his speech to mosque-centric and neighborhood-centric plans as sustainable solutions to society’s problems. “If the government is powerless in certain areas, the people and mosques must step in,” he said.
