On November 19, 2025, the Nournews media group formally launched its partnership with the international network BRICS TV by signing a cooperation MoU. The ceremony, held online simultaneously in Iran and Russia, is regarded as a milestone in the expansion of media relations between the two countries.
During the event, Maryam Salimi-Namin, editor-in-chief of Nournews, stressed the need for truth-based, unmediated and distortion-free reporting. She described joining the BRICS Plus media platform as a new avenue for projecting Iran’s culture, literature and human heritage on a global scale. She called the partnership an important step toward strengthening mutual understanding and broadening all-round interactions grounded in equality and shared interests.
For her part, Zhanna Tolstikova, CEO of TV BRICS, expressed satisfaction at the inclusion of the Nournews media group in the network’s family of media partners, saying that joint cooperation between the two sides could help expand a media environment in BRICS Plus rooted in objective information and reliable content. She further emphasized that global audiences genuinely seek access to content that reflects national identity, cultural diversity, and the scientific and economic capabilities of countries—values that constitute the core of the BRICS alliance.
This MoU—finalized after six months of continuous engagement between the two outlets—was drafted and signed within the framework of their shared approach to strengthening media relations and increasing synergy in the sphere of international information dissemination.
