According to Mehr News Agency, the head of the Africa Department at the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI) Mohammad-Reza Safari put Iran’s value of non-oil goods exported to the African countries from March 21 to Sep. 22, 2025 at $675 million, showing a considerable growth as compared to the same period last year.
Safari pointed to the sanctions imposed against the country, adding, "Despite sanctions imposed against the country, some African countries have shown their vehement interest in doing business with Iran."
He called Africa a lucrative market for the Iranian traders and businesspersons.
Planning is underway for holding “Iran-Africa Summit” in the next Iranian calendar year (to start March 21, 2026) in Tehran, the TPOI official added.
