During the inauguration ceremony of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s pavilion on Thursday morning, Mofatteh said, “As the world undergoes significant economic, technological, and environmental changes, Iran and China, guided by their comprehensive development strategies, are progressing toward strategic convergence.”
He further noted, “Iran is concentrating on diversifying its non-oil exports, developing knowledge-based industries, and improving industrial productivity. Meanwhile, China is implementing policies focused on quality development and increasing domestic consumption. Together, these efforts create ample opportunities for bilateral cooperation.”
Iranian Ambassador to China, Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli, and Wang Liping, the director general of the Department of Asian Affairs of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, also attended the inauguration ceremony of Iran’s pavilion.
The eighth edition of the China International Import Expo (CIIE)—the world’s first national-level exposition dedicated to imports—opened in Shanghai, China, on November 5, 2025.
The expo, which runs from November 5 to 10, will showcase 461 new products, technologies, and services.
