The Iranian girls, who had already stunned the competition with wins over China, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Thailand, continued their perfect run with a dominant performance against India on Tuesday.
They secured their fifth win by defeating India 43-26, earning a total of 10 points from the five matches. That helped them sit unchallenged atop the standings ahead of their final game against Hong Kong.
This is the first-ever gold medal won by Iranian handball players at the Asian Games, in both youth and senior categories.
The Asian Youth Games are held in Manama, Bahrain, from October 22 to 31.

He described the win as “a symbol of the determination and capability of Iranian women.”
Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf also extended his congratulations, saying, “Once again, the daughters of Iran proved that there are no limits to their pursuit of glory.”
He hailed the triumph as “not just a fleeting moment of joy, but the beginning of a proud and inspiring future for Iranian women in sports.”
