The competition was held in the Qatari capital of Doha with the participation of leading teams from across Asia, including Japan, China, South Korea, and Australia.
In the women’s final, Iran faced Japan and lost 2-0, settling for the silver medal.
The women’s team included Zahra Kahrizi, Servenaz Kamasi, Kimia Monajati Fasaei, Saba Najafi, Hanieh Sadeqi, Neda Mohammad Taghipour, and Hananeh Yaghoubzadeh, coached and captained by Sahabeh Fard. Melika Shahab served as team manager, while Shahin Kharazchi headed Iran’s delegation.
Men’s padel team finishes fourth
In the men’s division, Iran competed against Australia in the bronze medal match but was defeated, finishing fourth overall.
The men’s team featured players Amir Sina Saleh, Farsad Shahi, Kiarash Souri, Sajjad Zarei’an, Arsham Moradinejad, Hami Golestan, Arya Roghani, and Amir Mohammad Jamshidi under the supervision of head coach Thiago Santos. They were assisted by Dariush Saber, Masoud Karkhaneh, Sohrab Hosseinzadeh, and team manager Mohammadreza Golzar.
