Araghchi made the remarks in a meeting with Ugandan President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in Kampala on Wednesday.
In this meeting, while appreciating Uganda's excellent hosting of the summit, Araghchi emphasized the importance of strengthening solidarity and cooperation among the member states of the Non-Aligned Movement to safeguard the fundamental principles of the movement, prevent the weakening of the rule of law, and support the right of nations to self-determination.
Pointing to the high importance that the Islamic Republic of Iran attaches to strengthening relations with Africa, Araghchi emphasized Iran's readiness to expand relations with Uganda in the economic, agricultural, and trade fields.
The Foreign Minister also praised Uganda's principled stance in condemning the Israeli regime's military aggression against Iran.
The President of Uganda, for his part, also expressed his satisfaction with the long-standing relations between Uganda and Iran based on mutual respect and benefits, and emphasized his country's determination to strengthen relations with Iran.
In this meeting, it was decided to hold a meeting of the Joint Economic Commission of the two countries as soon as possible in order to boost relations between the two countries in the economic and trade fields.
