Speaking at a weekly cabinet session on Wednesday, Araghchi stated that American obstructionism prevented his talks on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly from yielding positive results.
He presented a report on his meetings and negotiations with the European officials and the American side before and during his recent trip to New York where he attended the annual session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
He emphasized that Tehran had shown all the necessary flexibility to conclude discussions with these parties.
“However, as was anticipated from the beginning, this path did not reach a conclusion due to American stonewalling,” Iran’s top diplomat added.
