Ali Larijani made the comment in a meeting with the Secretary General of the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah, Sheikh Naim Qassem, in Beirut on Sunday.
“Iran is present for all levels of support for Lebanon and its resistance,” he said.
Ali Larijani emphasised that Iran’s support for Lebanon and its resistance is based on the directives of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and in line with the Iranian government and people.
The Hezbollah chief, for his part, thanked Iran for its unwavering support for Lebanon and its resistance.
Sheikh Qassem underscored Lebanon’s steadfastness in the face of challenges and threats emanating from the United States and Israel.
He affirmed that the resisting people possess a high degree of pride and support for liberation and independence.
Sheikh Qassim said the courageous and patient Lebanese people will achieve a victory in the face of the Israeli enemy.
“Hezbollah is open to everyone and is ready for all forms of cooperation with those who stand against the Israeli enemy,” he added.
The Hezbollah chief warned that Israel poses a danger to everyone without exception, stressing, “We believe that this aggressive Israeli hubris has a disgraceful end in the face of this magnificent steadfastness against it.”
In August, under heavy pressure from the US and Israel, Lebanon's government ordered the army to draw up a plan for disarming Hezbollah by the end of the year, a move widely seen as a significant threat to Lebanon’s security and political stability.
Hezbollah and its political ally Amal back then announced that they would “treat the decision as if it did not exist” and accused the government of serving US diktats.
