Leaders of the world leave UN General Assembly in protest of Netanyahu’s speech

Many leaders, officials, and diplomatic delegations present at the United Nations General Assembly walked out of the hall in protest against the speech by Benjamin Netanyahu, the wanted Prime Minister of the Israeli regime.

Netanyahu delivered his speech on Friday, in New York before foreign officials and diplomats, while he has been wanted by the International Court of Justice for months over war crimes in Gaza.

Numerous delegations left the General Assembly hall in protest against the Israeli regime’s war crimes in Gaza over the past 30 months and its terrorist attacks on Iran and Qatar during the summer. This occurred despite scattered applause from a few of Netanyahu’s supporters who attempted to downplay the prevailing atmosphere of protest.

Netanyahu’s visit to New York comes at a time when many of the regime’s Western allies, including the UK, France, Spain, and Belgium, as well as other countries like Canada and Australia, have recognized an independent Palestinian state.

During his speech at last year’s General Assembly, a terrorist operation involving pagers was carried out in Lebanon, injuring several resistance fighters in the region, members of Hezbollah, and Mojtaba Amani, Iran’s ambassador to Beirut.

Last year as well, many representatives from various countries walked out of the UN General Assembly before Netanyahu’s speech in protest against the Israeli regime’s genocide in Gaza.
