Speaking to a Russian media on Friday, Khatibzadeh said E3 have always stated that if Iran reaches an agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), they will respect and implement it.
However, they have once again shown that they are captive to their own inaction and heavily politicize every move by Iran, he added.
Referring to the signing of the Iran-IAEA agreement in Cairo, he stated that Rafael Grossi, the Director-General of the IAEA, expressed his satisfaction and reported it to the IAEA.
After this agreement, we have seen nothing from the Europeans but fault-finding and further wrong steps, he stated.
Iran is still committed to diplomacy, but Tehran's future actions entirely depend on the decisions of the other parties regarding the re-imposition of sanctions, he stressed.
Commenting on the snapback mechanism, Khatibzadeh said Iran has sent a letter to the UN Secretary-General stating that the Europeans have no legal basis for resorting to the snapback mechanism.
The Europeans are currently abusing this mechanism to advance their political goals, he said, adding that Iran's response will be based on the current developments.
We still believe the window for diplomacy is open and there can be no military response to this process, he reiterated.
If the three European countries continue their irrational and irresponsible behavior, Iran will not be able to accept a new nuclear agreement, Khatibzadeh warned.
Iran agreed with the International Atomic Energy Agency to find new forms of cooperation because attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities have changed many facts, he said.
Access to these facilities is very limited due to environmental and human risks, he added.
The Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) earlier announced that arrangements included in a new agreement signed between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) were approved by the Nuclear Committee of the council.
According to the statement, the Nuclear Committee, which is comprised of senior officials from relevant institutions, has always been authorized by the SNSC to make decisions. For the new agreement with the IAEA, the Committee has acted in accordance with the usual procedure, it added.
The statement also provided a brief explanation on how Iran and the IAEA should cooperate on the three nuclear sites of Isfahan, Natanz, and Fordow that were struck by the US and Israel.
It said, after the necessary security and safety conditions are established, Iran will submit its report to the IAEA only after obtaining the opinion of the SNSC. Also, the practical methods for Iran-IAEA cooperation on the report submitted to the agency should be agreed upon by the two sides, and that any action must be approved by the SNSC.
