In a joint statement, SCO member states condemned recent military strikes by Israel and the United States against Iran in June 2025.
The statement described the attacks on civilian infrastructure, including nuclear-energy facilities, as a blatant violation of international law and the UN Charter.
It also reaffirmed the binding nature of UN Security Council Resolution 2231, which underpins the Iran nuclear deal.
The bloc’s members emphasized that any unilateral reinterpretation of the resolution undermines the credibility of the UN Security Council.
The participating countries underscored that a comprehensive and just resolution to the Palestinian issue remains the only viable path to lasting peace and stability in West Asia.
