U.S. taxpayers’ money: Fuel for Zionist genocide

The United States, by allocating billions of dollars in military and economic aid from taxpayers’ pockets, has become the main partner in the crimes of the Zionist regime—support that intensified during Trump’s presidency, leading to deeper humanitarian crises, regional instability, and severe damage to America’s global credibility.

Nournews: Since 1948, the U.S. has provided Israel with more than $318 billion in assistance: approximately $225 billion in military aid and nearly $93 billion in economic and non-military support. Most of this assistance has been delivered through Foreign Military Financing (FMF) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs.

The declared goals of this aid are to guarantee Israel’s military superiority and shield it against regional threats. The hidden objectives, however, include expanding U.S. influence in the Middle East, controlling energy resources, and securing Washington’s geopolitical dominance over West Asia. In effect, Israel has been turned into an instrument for advancing U.S. strategy in the region.

Trump’s role in escalating the crisis
Donald Trump, the current U.S. president, pushed this policy to new extremes with his radical approach. Not only did he continue the $38 billion commitment made during Obama’s term, but he also paved the way for even greater assistance. Under his presidency, Israel’s military budget expanded, while congressional restrictions on Israel’s use of American weapons in attacks on civilian areas were effectively neutralized.

Trump also escalated tensions by relocating the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem and openly backing Israel’s illegal settlement policies. At the same time, he cut one trillion dollars from social services and healthcare for poor Americans, redirecting the same amount into tax breaks for the wealthy and increased military aid to Israel. These actions revealed that unconditional support for Israel had become a central pillar of Trump’s administration.

Security crisis and genocide in Gaza
Relying on this support, Israel launched a full-scale war against the Gaza Strip in recent years. According to reports by Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, U.S. weapons have played a direct role in the killing of more than 62,000 Palestinians—including women and children.

Beyond Gaza, Israeli aggressions against Lebanon, as well as cyber and terrorist attacks against Iran, have also occurred with Washington’s approval and within the framework of this aid. Instead of acting as a mediator for peace, the U.S. has positioned itself as a full partner in genocide, military aggression, and humanitarian crises.

Domestic and international consequences
These policies have carried heavy costs for the United States. Domestically, millions of taxpayers protest why they should fund an occupying regime while their own social and healthcare services are being cut. Justice groups and academic elites have accused Trump’s administration of being a “partner in crimes against humanity.”

Internationally, America’s reputation as a self-proclaimed defender of democracy and human rights has suffered severe damage. Unconditional support for Israel has fueled a global wave of distrust toward Washington’s foreign policy and has placed the U.S. in direct confrontation with world public opinion and international organizations.
