Iran’s non-oil trade hits over $34 bln in March-July: IRICA

The Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) says the total value of the country’s non-oil trade exceeded $34.175 billion in the first four months of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21, 2025)

In a report on Wednesday, IRICA announced that 61.20 million tons of non-oil goods, valued at $34.175 billion, were exported from the country between March 21 and July 22, 2025, showing a 0.48 percent increase in terms of weight compared to the last year’s corresponding periods, although there was a 10% decrease in total value.

Iran’s non-oil trade totaled 48.811 million tons of goods worth $16.549 billion in exports and 12.209 million tons worth $17.627 billion in imports.

During this period, non-oil exports increased by 1.46% in volume but declined by 5.51% in value, while imports decreased by 3.23% in volume and 14.20% in value.

As much as 17.402 million tons of petrochemicals, valued at $6.894 billion, were exported during the mentioned period, registering an 8.30 percent decline in weight and a 10.22 percent decline in value compared to the same period last year.

During this period, the five main products exported were natural gas, liquefied propane, methanol, liquefied butane, and oil bitumen. Key import items included unrefined gold, animal feed corn, rice, sunflower seed oil, and soybeans.

During this period, Iran's main export target markets included China, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.), Turkey, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Oman. Its primary import partners were the U.A.E., China, Turkey, India, Germany, Russia, and the Netherlands.
