The two ministers held a phone conversation on Wednesday, according to a news release by Pakistan’s Ministry of Law and Justice.
Azam Nazeer Tarar emphasized that Pakistan decisively supports Iran’s security and sovereignty, and once again strongly condemns the Israeli act of aggression.
Iran is an old and trusted friend of Pakistan, he said, calling for the two sides to further expand their close relations.
The Iranian official thanked Pakistan for its stance over the Israeli aggression, and said the regime’s military action was a blatant violation of international law.
Israel launched its aggression on Iran on June 13, killing hundreds of civilians and assassinating top military commanders before it unilaterally declared a ceasefire on June 24.
Iran’s Armed Forces retaliated by launching volleys of ballistic missiles at key positions across the Israeli-occupied territories.
Pakistan was among the first countries that immediately denounced the Israeli attacks.
