Boshruyeh is the capital of Boshruyeh County in South Khorasan Province. It is located in the north-west of the province, bordering the desert, about 120 kilometers north-east of Tabas and around 88 kilometers south-west of Ferdows.

This hot and arid city has a living historical fabric that spans from the Safavid era to the Qajar period. It is known as the “City of Windcatchers” due to its unique wind towers (badgirs).

Boshruyeh boasts numerous tourist attractions, the most notable of which include:

  • The house of Badi' al-Zaman Foruzanfar (renowned scholar)
  • The Boshruyeh Watermill
  • The Ab-Bar Bridge
  • The Mostowfi House
  • The Dokhtar Castle

Boshruyeh is a desert city in South Khorasan renowned for its historical windcatchers, traditional architecture, and production of cotton and pistachios.
