During a phone call with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman, Pezeshkian appreciated Oman’s clear stance and support for regional peace and stability, reiterating that Iran considers all neighboring and Islamic countries as brothers and has no intention of getting into conflict with them.
He pointed out that U.S. direct involvement in Israel’s military aggression against Iran prompted the Islamic Republic to respond by hitting an American airbase in Qatar. The president said he made that clear during a phone conversation with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar.
Pezeshkian warned of a wicked conspiracy by Israel and the United States to divide the Muslim world. “I am confident that with the wisdom of regional leaders, this conspiracy will be thwarted and collectively, we can create a region full of development, stability, peace, and free from war and conflict,” he said.
The president affirmed that the Islamic Republic is determined to uphold its legitimate rights, saying, “the Iranian people will always remember the solidarity and support of their brothers in Oman throughout this process, as well as their help in facilitating negotiations.”
Sultan Haitham, for his part, said that he is fully aware that Iran did not intend to attack Qatar, highlighting, “We are confident that our brother, Sheikh Tamim, also understands this well. Oman and other regional allies support your endeavors to protect the rights of the Iranian people.”
