The Israeli regime launched an aggressive assault on Iran’s nuclear facilities, military sites, and residential areas on June 13, resulting in the martyrdom of several military commanders, nuclear scientists, and civilian citizens. In response, Iran’s armed forces have been carrying out a successful defensive operation against the Zionist enemy under the ongoing mission named “True Promise 3.”
According to a report by Al Jazeera News TV, Grossi addressed the United Nations Security Council on Friday evening, saying, “Since the beginning of the confrontation between Israel and Iran, we have been monitoring the situation of Iran’s nuclear facilities.”
Grossi noted that Israel’s attacks have worsened the situation, “These attacks have significantly deteriorated the safety and security conditions surrounding Iran’s nuclear facilities. While there has not been any radiological activity that threatens civilians, such a scenario cannot be ruled out. We are closely monitoring the situation.”
The Director General reported, “Iran’s uranium enrichment facility at Natanz has been targeted. Additionally, four buildings at the Isfahan nuclear site were damaged due to Israeli attacks, as well as a centrifuge building in another strike on Iran.”
Regarding the site in Bushehr, Grossi emphasized, “An attack on the Bushehr facility could lead to environmental damage. Overall, an assault on Bushehr carries serious consequences because the site contains nuclear material.”
He noted that the will continue its operations as long as security conditions allow, “The agency will resume its work once conditions permit.”
Grossi also stated, “Iran’s uranium stockpiles remain under safeguards. It is vital for the agency to resume inspections as soon as possible, and it will continue its work when the security environment allows. Beyond that, we must move toward diplomatic solutions.”
While addressing these issues, Grossi also claimed, “We must do everything possible to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.”
