The statement reported that the extensive and coordinated assault by the Zionist regime, consisting of a series of aerial strikes on various locations across Iranian territory—especially densely populated residential areas—resulted in the martyrdom and injury of several citizens, including women, children, university professors, scientists, and senior military officials, some of whom were killed alongside their family members in their homes.
The Non-Aligned Movement also strongly condemned the deliberate attack on Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities and, expressing serious concern over the consequences of such assaults, warned that the inflicted damage could lead to radioactive leakage and pose a grave threat to public health and the environment.
The statement further cautioned against the endangerment of civil aviation safety and security in the region as a result of these aggressions.
Emphasizing that the recent attack by the Zionist regime constitutes a blatant violation of the United Nations Charter and the fundamental principles of international law—including sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the prohibition of the threat or use of force against nations—the statement asserted that such actions explicitly violate basic human rights, including the right to life and health.
In another part of the statement, the Non-Aligned Movement expressed deep concern over the continuation of the Zionist regime’s aggressive actions, which have disrupted ongoing peaceful efforts to stabilize the region, stressing that such conduct clearly indicates the regime’s intention to escalate tensions in the region.
The movement also warned against the inaction of the United Nations and the international community in response to these repeated aggressions, stating that silence in the face of such crimes only emboldens the Zionist regime to continue its offenses and undermines the credibility of the global multilateral system.
At the conclusion of its statement, the Non-Aligned Movement referred to the recent Israeli aggression as a serious threat to regional and international peace and security. It called for its clear and unconditional condemnation by the international community and emphasized the necessity of holding the Zionist regime fully accountable.
The movement also expressed its full solidarity with the people and government of the Islamic Republic of Iran and extended its condolences to the families of the victims of these latest attacks.
