Nournews: Artificial Intelligence (AI) is one of the contemporary world’s most interesting topics, and it is expected to have deep effects on the economy and job market. The result of a poll conducted in 33 countries shows that there are varying views about the effects of AI on employment. Some countries, like China and Indonesia, hope new job opportunities will emerge, while European countries and North America are worried that automation and new technologies will cause traditional jobs to disappear.

Optimistic countries: New opportunities following the expansion of technology
Countries like China, Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia were the most optimistic in the poll regarding the role of AI in the future of the job market. For example, China, with 77 percent optimism about this technology, is seeking to expand its digital economy and become one of the world’s leading powers in the field of technology. In addition, these countries have created new jobs in the fields of data and AI, due to the rapid growth of e-commerce and startups, which have contributed to employment.
In these countries, governments have supportive plans for the expansion of new technologies, leading to economic growth and rapid development. It seems that they can create new job opportunities in the field of technology.

Cautious countries: A combination of opportunities and challenges
In contrast, some countries like India, Singapore, South Africa, and Brazil have more complex views. These countries hope AI can generate high levels of economic opportunities on the one hand, but they are worried that traditional jobs will fade away on the other. In India, the demand for AI experts has increased significantly. However, at the same time, workers in older industries are worried about losing their jobs. These concerns are common in many developing countries, which must protect against automation and changes in the job market while embracing new opportunities.
Governments in these countries are working to prepare their workforce for changes in the job market through education and the development of new skills. Also, job opportunities in new technologies are rising in these countries due to the need for new experts.

Pessimistic countries: Worried about the negative effects of automation
In industrial countries like Germany, Japan, and the United States, there are more concerns about the negative effects of AI on the job market. These countries have witnessed the replacement of human labor with automation and robots for a long time, and many are worried about losing their jobs due to the development of new technologies. Additionally, these countries face job market saturation and the need for major innovations to create new jobs, which may not happen soon.
In these countries, many are worried that their skills will not align with the needs of the job market in the future. Because of this, governments are facing significant challenges regarding education and skill enhancement.

Iran’s status: Opportunities and challenges
Although Iran was not involved in the poll, the country’s economic and technological situation provides a clear picture of AI's effects on employment. Iran has witnessed significant growth in e-commerce and AI over the past decade. However, economic challenges and international restrictions that affect the country’s access to advanced technologies are the main obstacles to technological development.
New job opportunities in various sectors, including startups and technology-based companies, are emerging in Iran. However, to exploit these opportunities, more investment in education and skill development is required. Iran must focus more on teaching skills and aligning its workforce with new needs in order to effectively exploit AI and overcome current challenges.

The poll shows that there are various viewpoints about the effects of AI on employment, depending on economic conditions, technological development, and government policies. Countries like China and Indonesia are more hopeful about the future of this technology, while industrial countries are more concerned due to their past experiences with automation and job market challenges. Iran is also facing its unique opportunities and challenges, and to use this technology effectively, it needs to focus on education and infrastructure development.
