According to the film magazine "World of Rebel," Farhadi has arranged to begin filming in 2025, although details about the plot or cast have yet to be revealed.
This announcement comes shortly after Farhadi expressed intentions to film in Los Angeles. However, the chosen location has now shifted to New York, a city known for its vibrant culture and artistic scene, which may attract tourists and film enthusiasts alike.
In a January 2024 interview with the French newspaper Le Monde, Farhadi disclosed that he does not plan to make any new films in Iran at this time. This decision marks a significant moment for the director, who is known for his powerful and intense dramas rooted in Iranian society, including acclaimed works such as ‘A Separation,’ ‘The Salesman,’ and ‘Hero.’
Farhadi has previously directed two films outside of Iran: ‘The Past’ (France) and ‘Everybody Knows’ (Spain).
