Nournews: The names of two streets in Tehran were originally intended to be changed to honor two Palestinian leaders: Ismaeil Haniyeh, the Hamas political chief, and Yahya Sinwar, one of Hamas's influential commanders who succeeded Haniyeh after his martyrdom.
The name of North Palestine Street was changed to Haniyeh Street, while the plan to rename West Zartosht Street after Yahya Sinwar was put on hold. Instead, another street will be named after him.
