Israeli strike on UNRWA school in Gaza kills 14 civilians

More Palestinian civilians are falling victim to the US-Israeli genocide in Gaza, as the Tel Aviv regime continues with its relentless attacks across the blockaded territory.

On Thursday, at least 14 people were killed and dozens of others wounded in an Israeli strike on a UN-run school in Shati refugee camp that was being used as a shelter for displaced people, Palestinian rescue workers said.

The residential building was bombed in the al-Daraj neighborhood of Gaza City.

Israel has carried dozens of air strikes on schools across the Gaza Strip, structures where hundreds of thousands of Palestinians displaced by fighting have sought refuge.

The United Nations said in September that around 85 percent of all schools in Gaza have been hit or damaged.

And the UN agency for Palestinian refugees said 70 percent of the UNRWA schools it administers have been targeted.

The Israeli military reduced the majority of the buildings and public facilities and infrastructure to rubble in the eastern side of the Gaza Strip,

People now are concentrating in whatever open space, including remaining schools, that are still suitable for displaced families to stay in.

Meanwhile, Israel also bombed a home in the al-Tahlia neighborhood, near Khan Yunis.

Northern Gaza was also the scene of deadly attacks where dozens of fatalities were reported in strikes in various areas.

The north has been the focus of Israel’s attacks for more than a month now.

The regime has imposed a siege on the area, worsening the already dire humanitarian situation there.
