Nournews: Pointing out the fact that the Zionist regime both assassinates and attacks other countries, President Pezeshkian said that Iran must have strong military power to defend itself so that enemies cannot threaten it.
The president said, “There is a risk that the fire from ongoing events will engulf the whole region and result in other consequences. Israel must be stopped and forced not to commit such wrongdoings.”
Pezeshkian, talking to CNN, said that what happened in Lebanon was a humanitarian catastrophe. He stated, “The United Nations and other countries who claim to be advocates of human rights must force Israel to sit in its place before showing any reaction to Hezbollah.”
He added, “Every human being feels ashamed seeing these disasters. What is Hezbollah doing now? What can it do against the airplanes that come to drop bombs on them? It is forced to defend itself with whatever it has.”
The president reiterated that although there is a risk of the fires spreading throughout the entire region, which could be dangerous for the world and the future of the planet, it is crucial to prevent these events from escalating. “Israel must be forced not to commit such wrongdoings.”
Responding to a claim by the CNN interviewer, who said, “The Zionist regime’s activities are in response to bombings by Hezbollah,” Pezeshkian replied, “Do you believe that? How many people were killed by this regime in Gaza alone? More than 41,000 people were killed. What did they do to Israel that warrants bombing women, school children, the elderly, hospitals, and healthcare centers?”
He added, “How many people were killed in Israel that they are bombing this number of people in Gaza [in response to that]? Have women, children, and elderly people in hospitals killed anybody? Today, it was announced at the United Nations that 200 members of the United Nations have been martyred. Who believes Israel?”
Pezeshkian reiterated, “We want to tell the world that we are not seeking a nuclear bomb. The United States lies that Iran is after a nuclear bomb. They are pumping wrong information to the world.
“We produce weapons and missiles for defending ourselves. During the Iraq-imposed war against Iran, Saddam Hussein, with the help of the United States and European countries, bombarded our cities and dropped chemical bombs on us. We were defenseless.”
The president added that Iran must have strong military power to defend itself so that “Our enemies cannot threaten us. We do everything so that enemies cannot threaten us.”
He reminded that the Zionist regime both assassinates and attacks other countries, going wherever it wants and easily killing people. The biggest terrorist in the world is Israel. Find the number of people that Israel is assassinating every day with its missiles and drones to find out everything.
Pezeshkian emphasized, “Inside Iran, on the night of my Tahlif – the day a president officially takes office after taking an oath before parliamentarians and other officials – it [Israel] assassinated Ismael Haniyeh. According to what international law did it commit that? The real terrorist is the regime of Israel. Those defending their lands and country are labeled as terrorists by Israel.”
The president reiterated, “Compare the assassinations by this regime with the operations conducted by the forces that Israel calls terrorists. Then you can tell the world who is actually a terrorist and who is anti-human rights, putting humanity under its foot and showing no value for it.”
