People must be informed of real economic issues, they must decide

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, during a meeting with economic activists in Khorasan Razavi province, emphasized the importance of keeping the public informed about the country's economic challenges.

Nournews: President Pezeshkian remarked, "It is not our fault that we have inherited these economic problems. In the best-case scenario, we can only resolve these issues with the active engagement of the people."

He further stressed the importance of public satisfaction, stating, "The people's satisfaction is key. We must communicate with them; if they understand the necessity, they will surely accept the solutions."

"We need to inform the public about the necessary economic interventions. First, we will convince them, and then we will implement the measures."

Solving trade, industry problems is key

Pezeshkian highlighted that revitalizing trade and industry is the main goal of his administration. "Without this effort, my presence in the administration would be meaningless," he said.

"Administrations are responsible for creating the conditions for businesses, producers, and industrialists to continue their work safely," he noted.

Pezeshkian calls for more authority for governors

He also called for reforms in governance, stating, "In the past, local administrations and governors allocated funds to those in higher positions. Today, they all demand money."

"We need to change the rules so that those at the top, who believe they know everything, realize that those in lower positions also have valuable insights," Pezeshkian said.

Paving the way for traders, businessmen is a priority

Pezeshkian added, "I have instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to prepare a plan to address this issue in our foreign visits. If we can fully utilize the potential of our borders, it will lead to economic progress and job creation."
