NOUENEWS: During a meeting with the elites of GC University of Lahore, the President said that acquiring knowledge and producing science are sources of power, wealth, authority, and honor for nations.
He added that "having faith coupled with science is the condition for success and prosperity for both individuals and society. Science without faith and faith without science is useless."
President Raisi introduced Iqbal Lahori as the symbol of an intellectual and faithful person and said, “science, faith, the spirit of seeking independence, justice-seeking, humanity, and other great qualities were all accumulated in him.”
Saying that the Leader of the Islamic Revolution has invited all students to produce science, President Raisi criticized the monopoly of science in the West and added that “we believe that thoughts and ideas of Eastern nations, particularly Iranians and Pakistanis, are able to have new words for the world.” President Raisi said that Americans and Western nations claim they have freedom of thought.
However, in practice, they fire students just because they have supported the oppressed people of Gaza. Which logic can explain this act and is it really freedom of thought? The President said that Western countries' claims about being the defenders of human rights are just the same as their claims in supporting freedom of thought.
“American and the West’s support for the murdering and injuring of over 100,000 Palestinians in occupied Gaza indicates the fact that today the biggest violators of human rights are Americans and Westerners, and their claim to defend human rights is nonsense.”
The President said that “the late Imam Khomeini emphasized that the first issue of the World of Islam was Palestine and today the freedom of Quds is not only the first issue of the Islamic world but without a doubt, I believe that with the resistance of the heroic people of Palestine and Gaza, Palestine and Gaza will be free.”
“I have no doubt that today’s hatred of the Zionists and Americans in the Islamic World and among humans will turn into the retaliatory hand of nations to end the Zionist Regime and put an end to this child-killing regime.” The President also pointed out the crimes of the Zionist regime against Iran and its incursion into the consular part of Iran’s embassy in Syria, which was a violation of all international conventions. He said that “if Israel makes a mistake once more and violates Iran’s territories, the situation will be different, and in this case, it is not clear if anything will remain of this regime.”
Ayatollah Raisi, at the end of his speech, stated: "Good understandings have been achieved in this trip," and emphasized: "The will of the leaders of the two countries is to develop relations in all areas, and undoubtedly, the result of implementing these understandings will lead to the enhancement of cooperation levels. Some countries have made great efforts to undermine the friendly relations between Iran and Pakistan, but the heartfelt bond of the two nations will never be broken."
President Raisi meets with the governor of Punjab state
Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman, the governor of Punjab State, welcomed President Ebrahim Raisi and his accompanying delegation to the House of the Prime Minister, expressing satisfaction over President Raisi's presence in Pakistan.
Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the political deputy of the president, Mohammad Jamshidi, the deputy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in economic policy, Mohammad Safari, as well as the Iranian ambassador in Pakistan, Reza Amiri, and the head of the Iranian consulate, Mehran Movahedi-Fard, are accompanying the president on this trip.

Pakistani students received President Raisi warmly
Upon his arrival at GC Lahore University, President Raisi was greeted warmly by hundreds of students, professors, and scientific, cultural, and media figures of Pakistan.
At the moment, President Raisi is giving a speech in the gathering of scientific and cultural figures of Punjab State. Lahore is considered the cultural hub of Pakistan. The Pakistan Ministry of Housing is accompanying President Raisi on his visit to Lahore.

Strengthening Iran-Pakistan cooperation effective in solving regional issues
During his official visit to Pakistan, Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi participated in a joint meeting of high-ranking delegations from both nations.
Addressing the meeting, Raisi emphasized that Tehran-Islamabad relations are deep and unbreakable, highlighting the historical neighborhood bonds and religious commonalities between the two nations.
However, he criticized the lack of compatibility between the level of relationships and potentials, emphasizing the need for increased interaction and ties in various economic, trade, and cultural fields.
Pointing to Iran’s policy of increasing relationships with Muslim, neighboring, and favorable nations, Raisi said that expanding ties with Pakistan would encompass all these. "We believe we can develop ties through the existing potentials, and as a first step, we agreed to increase the volume of trades between the two nations by $10 billion."
Raisi said the two countries can expand their ties on different subjects, including energy, and added that ensuring security, particularly in joint borders, is important for the progress of border trades.
“The approach of the two nations regarding the necessity of providing sustainable security, the need to fight against various forms of terrorism, and indiscriminate support for human rights, particularly defending the oppressed people of Palestine, is common and close,” Raisi said.
Raisi also emphasized the activation of a joint collaborative economic commission to remove obstacles in the way of expanding trade and economic ties. “Enhancement of Iran-Pakistan ties as two important regional Islamic nations can help solve regional issues.
On the contrary, not only does the presence of aliens in the region fail to solve any problem, but it also causes more complex problems.” Raisi emphasized the need for unity and cohesion between Islamic nations to combat any invasion and extortion of Islamic nations, stating that the crimes of the Zionist Regime against the oppressed yet powerful people of Palestine, particularly those in Gaza, are the consequence of such lack of unity.
Shahbaz-Sharif, Pakistan's Prime Minister, said that the progress of each nation is the progress of the other. Pointing to the long border between the two nations, the Pakistani Prime Minister emphasized the decisive fight against terrorism, efforts to enhance security in border regions, and economic development in border regions through setting up border markets.
Raisi planted friendship seedling in Pakistan
During a visit to Islamabad, Pakistan, Iranian President Ayatollah Ebrahim Raisi was welcomed by Mohamad Shahbaz- Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, and the two officials planted a seedling in the House of Pakistan Prime Minister, as a sign of two nations’ friendship.
Heading a high-ranking delegation, Ayatollah Raisi arrived in Islamabad in the early hours of Monday for a two-day visit. The trip includes private mutual negotiations between the heads of the two countries as well as joint talks in the presence of accompanying board of delegation.
Signing 8 collaboration documents among governmental and private sectors of Iran and Pakistan are among the most important part of the trip.
In his remarks before departing for Islamabad, Ayatollah Raisi said Pakistan is an important country which Iran has long-standing relations with, , adding that the two countries have had many economic, political, and religious relations, and favorable cooperation has been established between them.
Iran and Pakistan have common views and have had very good cooperation on the issues of human rights, defending the oppressed Palestinian people, and fighting against terrorism, he added.
In line with neighborhood policies and in line with the policy of holding relations with Muslim countries, we believe that these relations should be improved, Raisi further cited, stressing that both countries are determined to promote their bilateral ties.
He went on to say that he and his accompanying delegation are scheduled to discuss several issues with Pakistani officials including the issues related to borders, security, economy, commerce, and energy.
"We consider the security of Pakistan as our security and the security of the common borders between the two countries is in the interest of the two countries and the two nations."
