Hossein Amir-Abdollahian made remarks in a note penned on Friday on the occasion of World Quds Day which is held annually on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan to express solidarity with the Palestinian cause and people.
Amir-Abdollahian emphasized that humanity is currently witnessing one of the biggest genocides and crimes in human history, adding that the ongoing tragedy in Gaza constitutes a blatant violation of international law and an affront to the rightful owners of Palestine.
The recent crimes committed by the Zionist regime against Palestinians unequivocally breach fundamental principles of human rights and serve as a stark example of hybrid crimes, genocide, apartheid, and ethnic cleansing, he added.
Furthermore, Amir-Abdollahian pointed out that America's role in perpetuating the conflict is evident, and that it has not contributed to its resolution.
