Seyyed Hasan Nasrallah calls for massive turnout in Quds Day rallies

Secretary General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah Seyyed Hasan Nasrallah has called for people’s mass participation in the Quds Day rallies on April 5 this year.

The Hezbollah chief made the remarks in a speech he delivered to a gathering in southern Lebanon on Friday on the first night of Al Qadr – the night when God revealed Holy Quran to Prophet Mohammad.

According to Al Ahed news, Nasrallah described this year’s Quds Day as completely different from the previous years as it is held in special conditions.

On the one hand, the people of Gaza are witnessing the Israeli regime’s brutal attacks that have brought them massacre, destruction, starvation and displacement, and on the other hand, the resistance fighters are resisting the occupiers on the battlefields in Gaza, he said.

The Hezbollah chief also underlined the importance of praying during these special nights which are commemorated by Muslims.

He further called on all Muslims to do their duties towards the people in Gaza and pray for them to win the war against the Zionist regime.

International Quds Day which falls on April 5 this year is an occasion designated by the late founder of Iran’s Islamic Republic Ayatollah Khomeini more than 40 years ago. Ayatollah Khomeini named the last Friday of the fasting month of Ramadan as Quds Day.
