Pakistan speaker criticizes world silence on Gaza genocide

Speaker of Pakistan’s National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has said that the world’s silence on the massacre of the Palestinians in Gaza is a slap in the face of international peace and justice system.

The speaker made the remarks on Sunday while addressing the 148th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Geneva, Switzerland, reaffirming the solidarity and support of the people and government of Pakistan with the Palestinians in their battle against the Israeli occupation.

He underlined that the continuation of the Israeli regime’s crimes has revealed the real face of hypocrites and the so-called civilized nations because the genocide is being committed under the supervision of the so-called international entities.

The speaker called on the international community to play its role in halting the genocide against Gazans, and said that the heads of Islamic states must be aware of conspiracies hatched by Israeli officials to intensify attacks against Palestinians and expand the occupation of their land.

The IPU is an international organization of national parliaments and is the world’s largest parliamentary bloc. The IPU Assembly is holding its 148th session in Geneva on March 23-27, with the moto of “Parliamentary Diplomacy: Building bridges for peace and understanding”.
