Morales to Lula: Privilege to be called ‘persona non grata’ by genocidal Israel

The former Bolivian president Evo Morales has expressed support for Brazilian President Lula da Silva’s stance on Palestinians, stressing that being called "persona non grata" by the genocidal Israeli regime is a privilege as it manifests Lula's commitment to world peace.

Morales made the remarks in a post on his X account on Tuesday.

In his post, Morales extended support for the Brazilian president, who was under Zionist verbal attack due to his support for Palestine.

Bolivia expresses its solidarity with President Lula who is unfairly termed persona non grata by the Zionist regime which is committing genocide in Gaza, he wrote.

During a speech to the 37th African Union Summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on Sunday, Lula likened the genocide against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip to the one committed by Adolf Hitler against the Jews.

He said the war in Gaza is a battle between an armed-to-the-teeth army and civilians, rather than between soldiers and soldiers.

Since the beginning of the war in Gaza on October 7, nearly 29,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been killed in the besieged territory.

The spokesperson for the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) James Elder has said 17,000 children in Gaza are in a critical situation as they have been orphaned due to the Zionist regime of Israel’s war on the enclave.
