NOURNEWS: The Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, Benjamin Netanyahu, told the U.S. Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, that the regime's ground invasion of the southernmost parts of the Gaza Strip would begin within the next couple of weeks. Kan Network has reported that upon Egypt's and the US's request, the operation of the army of the Zionist regime in Rafah would begin after the 'mass evacuation' of citizens and following the Cairo-Tel Aviv agreement on the regime's army operation in the border region between Gaza and Egypt known as the 'Salah-edin axis'.
The dire situation of Palestinians
According to Ajazeera, based on satellite images, about 22,000 people per kilometer are living in the soil of Rafah, while before the Zionist regime's latest invasion of Gaza, approximately 275,000 people were living in the region covering 64 kilometers. This figure shows that 'Rafah' was one of the most populated parts of the world even before the Israeli attack. Now, after five months of war, over half of Gaza's total population has gathered in the region.
A population without any shelters, who, in the best-case scenario, live in tents that become uninhabitable after each rainfall. There aren't any hygiene facilities, and the risk of spreading epidemic and infectious diseases, including Hepatitis A, poses a threat to their health, in addition to the daily bombings by the Zionist regime.
The displaced population took refuge in UNRWA in the hope of receiving aid, but according to reports, about 150 of UNRWA's workers, who are the sole source of relief for Gazans, have also been killed, and the countries that were financial supporters of UNRWA have suspended their aid.
With these characteristics, the ground invasion of the Zionist regime into this region does not signify anything but the largest genocide of Palestinians and is part of Netanyahu's scenario to remain in power.
At the outset, the Zionist regime initiated the Gaza massacre with the aims of 'destroying the Resistance,' 'expelling at least half of Gaza's population from this narrow strip,' 'reoccupying Gaza,' and 'securing the release of prisoners held by the Resistance.' However, after four months of war, its sole achievement is the massacre of tens of thousands of people, the displacement of two-thirds of Gaza's 2.23 million population, and the destruction of houses, schools, and hospitals. Its declared goals have failed in practice.
In light of the internal situation in occupied territories, the consequences of war, and the increase of global hatred toward the Zionist regime, the conclusion of the conflict means the end of Netanyahu's tenure. Consequently, he perceives war and mass killings as the only means of survival. Netanyahu's crisis becomes more evident when Moody's Credit Rating Agency, for the first time since the Zionist regime joined the institution's rating system in 1995, downgraded the regime's credit rating to A2.
The Zionist regime has a deadline until February 23rd to report to the International Court of Justice about its compliance with the six orders issued by The Hague court to prevent "genocide"; however, it is on the brink of planning the widest genocide.
With a ground invasion accompanied by expanded airstrikes in Rafah, Gaza residents are left with no more options: either stay and be killed or effectively, according to the Zionist regime's old scenario, undergo ethnic cleansing and be relocated to the Sinai desert indefinitely.
