NOURNEWS: Recent polls in the US and EU reveal widespread dissatisfaction among citizens with traditional Western politics. Both the US presidential election and the European Parliament elections are set for 2024.

A recent Eurobarometer poll revealed that only 14% of French people are aware of the date of the European Parliament elections, and there's little public enthusiasm for participation across other EU member states.

A survey conducted by Quinnipiac University in the US also indicates that a significant majority of citizens in the country oppose the potential reelection bids of both Trump and Biden in the 2024 presidential elections.

Based on these surveys and similar documents, there are insights regarding the Western approach to confronting elections in Iran, both ideologically and structurally, that cannot be overlooked.

1.The West is busy defining the boundaries of its claimed democracy around the world, while American and European citizens increasingly distance themselves from the liberal-democratic and crisis-creating institutions. The youth participation in European parliamentary elections is so dire that the European Commission has launched an emergency project called "MEET" aimed at encouraging European youth to engage in parliamentary elections. Most Americans' opposition to the Electoral College system is so evident and clear that even White House officials have admitted to its shortcomings and inefficiencies in various administrations. The main question is: how do the proponents of such anti-democratic, non-progressive, and ambiguous electoral structures allow themselves to comment on the conduct of elections in other countries around the world?!

2. The next point relates to the West's primary concern about the phenomenon of elections in Iran. The reality is that the "Islamic Republic" is perceived as a religious democratic system comparing with the Western narrative of governance and the "state - nation" model. Islamic Revolution leaders have strongly emphasized the role of the people in the establishment and preservation of the revolution and the Islamic Republic system. They attribute our country's successful transitions over the past 45 years to the awareness and responsibility of the people. The analysis of people's behavior in electoral arenas has always been at the center of observation and analysis by others (friends and foes) alike. Therefore, the strong presence of people in defending Iran is always seen as an opportunity for the country and, conversely, a stumbling block for the West in dealing with the nation and the system.

3. It's crucial to closely monitor the enemy's cognitive warfare tactics in the current period, especially during the parliamentary elections.

This cognitive and tactical warfare has two main pillars: one involves concealing the reality of elections in Western societies and how people's participation in Western-American elections is shaped and the structural and formal weaknesses of elections in the West, and the other focuses on Iranian people's voting behavior and encouraging them not to participate in the elections! To meet this goal, the West uses various methods, including "censoring successes and making people disappointed about future," "distorting the country's atmosphere and magnifying problems," "undermining sacred values and societal norms," "promoting distorted cognitive and moral patterns," and "encouraging youth towards inhibiting individualism."The way to confront this trend is nothing but "clarification," "inspiring hope," and "raising awareness."
